Douglas Eberle Board Governance Series to educate non-profit leaders

Local organizations are joining forces to promote responsible leadership for non-profits.

Registration is now open for the 2012 Douglas Eberle Board Governance Series.

The program is a collaboration of the Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette, United Way, and North Central Health Services. It is aimed at strengthening and sustaining boards at institutions in Tippecanoe and surrounding counties.

Community Foundation President Greg Kapp says the series is important because of the unique structure of not-for-profits. He says the focus is on improving efficiency and financial practices among board members and executive directors.

Kapp says the program has been successful since it was introduced in 2008. Registration fees are $20 for individual sessions or $150 for the entire series of ten.
