BASi changes leadership

BASi
Jacqueline Lemke is interim president and CEO of Bioanalytical Systems, Inc (BASi).

Bioanalytical Systems, Incorporated named its chief financial officer the interim president and chief executive officer. Jacqueline Lemke started as C.F.O. three months ago.

However, board chairman John Landis says in that short time, she’s reduced BASi’s cost structure, refocused marketing efforts and instituted aggressive performance goals for all operating departments.

Lemke takes over from Anthony Chilton who resigned to pursue other opportunities. Chilton became president and C.E.O. in May, 2010. He joined BASi in December 2008 and served as chief operating officer.

The company also announced the resignation of Alberto Hidalgo. He has served as vice president for business development and marketing since August, 2010.

BASi is a pharmaceutical development company providing contract research services and research
instruments and supplies to drug development companies and medical research organizations.
