NAMI West Central Indiana's Living Room- Mental Health Crisis De-escalation
NAMI West Central Indiana's Living Room is the very first of its kind in Indiana. Designed specifically to address mental health crises, our program serves as a vital resource that alleviates the burden on local law enforcement and emergency rooms.
In the Living Room, visitors can talk with Peer Recovery Support Specialists, who utilize their own personal experiences with mental health conditions (substance-related and non-substance-related) to provide care, support, resources, and de-escalation.
NAMI Living Room warmly welcomes guests who fulfill the following criteria:
Age Requirement: To ensure the appropriateness of our services, we kindly request that guests be 18 years of age or older to participate in the NAMI Living Room program.
Voluntary Attendance: Our program is specifically designed to support individuals who willingly seek assistance for their mental health concerns. We invite guests who choose to come voluntarily, recognizing the importance of individual choice and the desire to actively engage in their well-being.
The Living Room and all services offered by NAMI West Central Indiana are free. You are not alone.
