Local Schools Honored with Four-Star Status

The state is recognizing four local schools with four-star status.

The honor is given to those with combined English ten and Algebra One End-of-Course Assessment percentages in the state’s top 25th percentile.  A school also must meet Adequate Yearly Progress standards.

Cumberland and Happy Hollow in the West Lafayette Community School Corporation are among those named.

So too are Burnett Creek Elementary in the Tippecanoe School Corporation and Lafayette’s Miller Elementary.

One-hundred-62 of the state’s nearly 1,800 schools are being given four-star status.
