Three finalists for Purdue Honors College dean

The search for Purdue’s Honor College dean is down to three candidates. Each will present their vision for the newly created Honors College. The candidates and their forum times are:

* April 4 from 1:30-3 p.m. Purdue Memorial Union, Room 118. Dennis Savaiano, interim dean of the Honors College and professor of nutrition science, Purdue.

* April 9  from 1:30-3 p.m. Purdue Memorial Union, Room 118.  Rhonda Phillips, associate dean, Barrett, The Honors College Downtown Campus, Arizona State University, and professor of community resources and development at ASU.

* April 16 from 1:30-3 p.m. Purdue Memorial Union, Room 118.  Shannon Blanton, vice provost for undergraduate programs and professor of political science, University of Memphis.

The Honors College Faculty Governance Committee is finalizing the college's curriculum and will finish next month as part of ongoing plans for it to admit first-year students in fall 2013.
