Douglas Eberle Board Governance Series

The Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette is supporting leaders of local nonprofits.

The Douglas Eberle Board Governance Series kicks off its second session Tuesday, March 20 at 3:30 p.m.

Foundation President and C.E.O. Greg Kapp says it features a talk from Barb Coury with the Community Health Network Foundation.

"Barb will give a good overview of that whole process and help board members feel comfortable about the fact that they should help raise money for the organization if they're on the board, but they don't necessarily have to ask for gifts."

Kapp says the target audience is board executive directors as well as individuals who are new to board service. However, he says all interested individuals are welcome to attend the lectures.

"We're partnering with Ivy Tech at their new corporate training center, so there's plenty of room at the facility. What we typically try to target are executive directors and board chairs or folks who have never been on a board before and they're getting into volunteer board service for the first time."

He says there is still time to register for Tuesday's session. For more information and how to sign up, click HERE.
