A local organization is launching an effort to help area non-profits build up their funding.
The Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette is working with 16-groups on its Agency Endowment Matching Campaign.
The goal is to raise $1.3-million and the Community Foundation will match 25-percent of every dollar.
President and CEO Greg Kapp says this is the most effective way for the Foundation to provide assistance.
He says the Community Foundation will match up to $50,000 for each organization.
The campaign will run through December 31st, 2013 because, as Kapp says, this gives the non-profit agencies more time to reach their goals.
Proposals range from $10,000 to $200,000.
