Diversity Roundtable of Greater Lafayette summit

How to make Greater Lafayette more diverse and accepting is the topic of a forum this week. The Diversity Roundtable is hosting the event focused on improving the area for all people.

Mike Piggott is one of the organizers. He says the forum will build on the ideas presented in a recently completed Community of Choice report. He says the final part of the event will be discussing and organizing an overall diversity campaign for the Lafayette area. As of now, he is not sure what that will entail, but he hopes to use marketing via radio, TV, or newspapers to highlight activities promoting local diversity efforts.

The forum’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Gloria Thomas, a leader in diversity activity in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ann Arbor is a peer city to Greater Lafayette and the Community of Choice report ranked it as one of the most diverse communities.

The forum will be held at Ivy Tech Thursday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. More information is HERE.
