The Purdue women’s basketball team has been named a finalist for the Russell Athletic “Together We R”Team Award.
The honor is for programs that have strived to succeed in the face of adversity and exemplify strong commitment to core values of togetherness, courage, and work ethic and heart.
The Boilermakers have been through a series of tragic events over the past six months, including the death of junior Liza Clemons’ fiancé, the loss of young fan Riley Smith to a rare disease, and a second ACL injury for senior guard KK Houser.
