As the holidays begin, social service agencies that cater to the underprivileged are taxed.
At Lafayette’s Food Finders Food Bank, they’ve got plenty of baked goods, but are struggling to find enough meats to include in holiday care packages.
And, as WBAA’s Stan Jastrzebski reports, the organization is in the midst of transition – Executive Director Katy Bunder is looking for a larger, less out-of-the-way location into which Food Finders can move.
And with last year’s harsh winter still fresh in her mind, Bunder is bracing for the challenges this year’s cold snap may bring.
