Those hit with parking tickets in West Lafayette soon may have to pay more.
The City Council is considering raising fines for time violations.
Council President Ann Hunt says, if approved, this would be the first parking fines increase in West Lafayette since 2005.
Fines would change from $15 to $35 which is the same as Purdue’s penalties.
The proposed ordinance must pass twice and will go in front of the council for a first vote Monday.
