Stephannie Stokes is a producer at WABE’s features desk. The title, “producer,” can mean a lot of things, but her focus is on telling stories. On WABE, you might hear her reporting about a lesser known part of Atlanta’s history, while another day you might catch a sound portrait she produced about a person or place in the region.

Hello! As you can probably see, my name is Ross. What the website may not tell you is that I am a Senior majoring in Economics and Applied Statistics at Purdue University. I also am the Assistant Manager of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, a huge meditation guy, and a frequent bike commuter to class from my old-house-turned apartment that I share with fellow Glee Club members. I started working with WBAA 2 years ago and have found the experience quite rewarding. My main duty has been to edit West Lafayette Library Director Nick Schenkel's coveted book reviews, which have proven to be quite educational. My favorite part is writing a silly description for each book review every week. And, as with any intern, there have been various other tasks that I complete at the station [including getting the Operations Director his coffee and cleaning his office floor with a toothbrush and my tears]. I look forward to learning and contributing more while working for this awesome resource for news and culture that is WBAA!
