  • Madeline Fox is a reporter for the Kansas News Service covering foster care, mental health and military and veterans’ issues.
  • Nick Wang joined the WBAA staff last summer and took over the newsletter while the other interns were on semester break. He focused on graphic design creation for multiple events. Nick has updated the website "topper" and is now updating all the elements on WBAA.org. Another major project this semester is listening to all the testimonial messages from the last several years, and sorting them to use for the next member drive. Nick will also be working to help record and edit new testimonial messages (so if you would like to record a message to use for the next member drive, contact Rachel Lattimore at rjlattimore@prf.org). Nick is a junior and that means WBAA will be able to benefit from his skills and hopefully allow him to expand his portfolio for his professional career once he graduates from Purdue
  • Jeremy D. Goodwin joined St. Louis Public Radio in spring of 2018 as a reporter covering arts & culture and co-host of the Cut & Paste podcast. He came to us from Boston and the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, where he covered the same beat as a full-time freelancer, contributing to The Boston Globe, WBUR 90.9 FM, The New York Times, NPR and lots of places that you probably haven’t heard of.
  • Before becoming the newest Capitol reporter for the Michigan Public Radio Network, Cheyna Roth was an attorney. She spent her days fighting it out in court as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Ionia County. Eventually, Cheyna took her investigative and interview skills and moved on to journalism. She got her masters at Michigan State University and was a documentary filmmaker, podcaster, and freelance writer before finding her home with NPR. Very soon after joining MPRN, Cheyna started covering the 2016 presidential election, chasing after Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and all their surrogates as they duked it out for Michigan. Cheyna also focuses on the Legislature and criminal justice issues for MPRN. Cheyna is obsessively curious, a passionate storyteller, and an occasional backpacker. Follow her on Twitter at @Cheyna_R
  • Elizabeth “Liz” Baier is WUNC’s Digital News Editor. She joined the station in May 2016 after eight year of reporting for Minnesota Public Radio News where she covered everything from demographic changes in rural America, agriculture, the environment and health care. Prior to that, Liz worked for six years as a newspaper reporter in South Florida, both at the Miami Herald and South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
  • My name is Katelyn Anderson and I am a freshman studying Communications at Purdue University, with a minor in Spanish. This is my second semester as an intern for WBAA. I spent my first semester training as an on-air host and this semester, I am assisting with the production of shows. This internship has allowed me to explore different areas of media and truly dive into my future. Everyone I have worked with at WBAA has been so eager to teach and guide me as I learn the ropes, and I am immensely grateful. I am quite unsure of my plans post-graduation but I am sure my time at WBAA will be of great benefit.
