His reporting from Ferguson, Mo. was part of a KBIA documentary honored by the Missouri Broadcasters Association and winner of a national Edward R. Murrow Award. He comes to KBIA most recently from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine.

Duncan is a native North Carolinian, born and raised in Wilmington. A lifelong musician, he got his start in broadcasting as a volunteer classical music host at his hometown public radio station, WHQR. He went on to host “Morning Edition” there, and then at WCQS in Asheville.

My name is Laolu Adeyo and I'm a senior at Purdue University. Here at WBAA, I am an Intern working on the design, development and marketing of the new student-focused WBAA mobile app. Working here has given me a huge challenge and also the opportunity to develop important practical skills in programming, design, and marketing which I believe will be very helpful to me in the future. More importantly, WBAA has given me a chance to oversee every aspect of this project from start to finish and actively encourages me to implement my ideas. In the future I would like to work with digital media and this experience has been a great step that direction!

Andrea Muraskin manages the social media and website for Sound Medicine News, and contributes web and radio reporting. Prior to joining the Sound Medicine News team, she was a freelance reporter and producer, notably creating the radio feature series’ The Neighborhood Project, The Life Stories Project, and Constitution Indiana at 90.1 WFYI. Andrea was a radio coach for the Indianapolis-based youth media organization Y-Press, where she had the privilege of working with some of the world’s best teen journalists.

Peter Biello is the host of All Things Considered at New Hampshire Public Radio. He has served as a producer/announcer/host of Weekend Edition Saturday at Vermont Public Radio and as a reporter/host of Morning Edition at WHQR in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Tasnim Shamma joined WABE 90.1 FM as a reporter in November 2014. She comes to Atlanta from Charlotte, where she spent more than two years at the NPR member station WFAE.

Amanda Peacher is an Arthur F. Burns fellow reporting and producing in Berlin in 2013. Amanda is from Portland, Oregon, where she works as the public insight journalist for Oregon Public Broadcasting. She produces radio and online stories, data visualizations, multimedia projects, and facilitates community engagement opportunities for OPB's newsroom.
