Kokomo Symphony Orchestra

The Kokomo Symphony Orchestra will present a live performance, "Pops in the Park," on Saturday, August 22 from 6 to 10 pm at the Kokomo Performing Arts Pavilion at Foster Park. Greg Kostraba spoke with Artistic Director and conductor José Valencia about the program, and what the orchestra and city of Kokomo are doing to keep the musicians and audience safe.

In Studio WBAA is an occasional series from our studios in Purdue's Elliott Hall of Music, featuring conversation and performance from tfine musicians in West Central Indiana and beyond. WBAA Content Director Greg Kostraba began the series with guest Baroque cellist Juliana Soltis, who introduces us to the Bach Cello Suites by Johann Sebastian Bach, and performs selections from several of them.

Purdue Bands & Orchestras

The Purdue Philharmonic Orchestra will be in concert Saturday, February 29th at 8pm at the Long Center in downtown Lafayette in a program that includes works by Sergei Prokofiev, Henry Purcell, and Paul Hindemith.  Greg Kostraba spoke with Assistant Professor and Director of Orchestras Adam Bodony about the program.

Wabash College

The Fine Arts Center at Wabash College in Crawfordsville presents activities throughout the academic year. WBAA's Greg Kostraba spoke to Julia Phipps about events and activities, including music and theater performances, and an art show taking place there over the next couple of months.

Lafayette Master Chorale

The Lafayette Master Chorale, soloists, and orchestra perform Handel's Messiah Saturday, December 21 at 7:30pm at St. Boniface Church in downtown Lafayette. WBAA's Greg Kostraba spoke to Music Director and conductor Michael Bennett about the performance.

Nick Palmer leads the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra in its "Holidays Around the World" concert Saturday, December 14 at 7:30 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Lafayette. Greg Kostraba spoke with LSO Music Director Nick Palmer about the concert, which will feature the holiday selections from across the globe, including Japan, the Philippines, and Liberia. The LSO will be joined in Highland Cathedral by Lafayette's own 42nd Royal Highlanders Band of Music.

Purdue Orchestras present two concerts this weekend at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Lafayette. Adam Bodony and Jay Gephart respectively direct the Purdue Symphony and String Orchestras Friday, November 22 at 8pm. Saturday, November 23 at 8pm, Maestro Bodony leads the Purdue Philharmonic Orchestra in concert with guest violinist Chloe Trevor. Nick Palmer leads the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra in its "Peace, Love & Classical" concert Saturday, November 16 at 7:30 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Lafayette.
