Former Purdue athlete Kara Patterson will not advance to the finals of the javelin in the Olympics.
She finished 15th in the qualifying rounds this morning in London.
Only the top 12 athletes move on to the finals.
Patterson injured her left knee in the U-S Olympic trials July 1st.
She revealed today that she actually tore her ACL at that event.
