Book Review: Deep South

  Paul Theroux, famous for his travel journals from around the world, has been caught by the American South. What started as a short trip around the region soon turned into several revisits to small towns and small people he came to know and love. Deep South contains the same raw stories Theroux usually encompasses in his writing, with censor-less interviews and beautiful photographs taken by Steve McCurry. As a wonderful addition to his other travel journals, Theroux's Deep South truly captures the magic of the American South. West Lafayette Public Library Director Nick Schenkel has a review.
