Lemonade Day to teach area youth about business

Learning what it takes to run a small business is one of the goals of the second annual Lemonade Day.

Greater Lafayette Commerce is coordinating the event, which is open to young people in pre-kindergarten through the 12th grade.

Each participant is provided a backpack with information about how to set up and run their lemonade stand.

The young entrepreneurs are encouraged to give some of their profits to charitable organizations.

More information about Lemonade Day is available at LemonadeDay.org.

The event is set for Saturday, May 19th, throughout Greater Lafayette.
