Amazon.com's new facility to bring jobs and money

An online retailer is adding business and jobs to Indiana.

Amazon.com announced it will open its fifth distribution plant in the Hoosier state.

The facility will be located in Jeffersonville and is expected to open this fall.

Indiana Economic Development Corporation spokeswoman Katelyn Hancock says Amazon’s decision enhances the state’s reputation as an attractive place for business.

The state is providing Amazon $2-million in performance based incentives.

The distribution center is expected to have a roughly$ 150-million economic impact and create more than 1,000-jobs by 2015.
