A Peoria, Illinois company is opening a new facility in the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette.
Automotive Robotics Proving Labs Incorporated plans to construct a 50,000-square-foot building for testing engine designs, specifically for Caterpillar.
The project will bring 30 new permanent jobs to the area.
The facility is expected to cost about $10-million and ground is scheduled to break this spring.
Officials hope to have it complete by sometime next year.
Automotive Robotics is getting about $4.5-million in incentives to locate in the Research Park, which will be paid for in part by the Research Foundation, along with state and local governments.
