Hope & Healing: Suicide Prevention & Growth Beyond Grief

Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette, in collaboration with NAMI West Central Indiana, will host Hope & Healing: Suicide Prevention & Growth Beyond Grief on Wednesday, August 6, at 6:00 p.m. in the Ivy Hall Auditorium on the Lafayette campus. This free event invites the public to hear from mental health professionals about suicide prevention strategies and how individuals can find strength and growth through grief.

The evening will include remarks from:
• Megan Ulrich, LCSW, Mental Health Liaison for Tippecanoe School Corporation, who will highlight local suicide prevention efforts and resources available to students and families.
• Dr. Melinda Moore, PhD, a clinical psychologist and national expert on post-traumatic growth, who will share research on how individuals and communities can heal and grow following suicide loss.

The event is co-hosted by NAMI West Central Indiana, the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI provides support, education, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. The organization works to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all those in need, offering free programs and support groups throughout Benton, Carroll, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White counties.

The event is open to the public. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early to find their seats. Free parking is available in lots B and C, with entry through Door 4 of Ivy Hall.
