ProQuest: Historic Hoosier Press
ProQuest: Historic Hoosier Press
The Frankfort Community Public Library (FCPL) is offering a class entitled “ProQuest: Historic Hoosier Press” on Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m. in the lower level meeting room. Newspapers provide a unique view of the past and can help researchers understand the people, events, and attitudes of an earlier time. FCPL’s subscription to the Indiana Collection of ProQuest’s Historical Newspapers database offers patrons access to publications from Evansville, Lafayette, Indianapolis, Richmond, and Muncie. Genealogy Manager Jill Garrison will show participants how they can use the collection to help with genealogical and historical research. She will also cover how to access the database remotely using a library card.
This program is free, but registration is required. To register, call (765) 654-8746, visit myfcpl.org/calendar, or stop by the library.
