Montgomery County reported its first confirmed case of COVID-19 Tuesday.
In a statement, the Montgomery County Health Department announced the resident, an adult, is being hospitalized in a different county. No other details were provided about the patient.
Last week, Montgomery County officials sent out a statement cautioning residents against believing “irresponsible rumors” about how the spread of the novel coronavirus could affect their ability to travel or work.
As of Tuesday morning, the Indiana State Department of Health had announced 365 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths. Marion County had the highest case count in the state at 161.
