Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski Tests Positive For COVID-19
Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a statement released Wednesday, Roswarski received his positive test results around 5 p.m. Tuesday; those in close contact with him have been notified. Lafayette City Clerk Cindy Murray said city business would continue “as usual.” Roswarski will remain at home in quarantine for the next two weeks.
The statement also said Roswarski continues to emphasize the importance of mask-wearing, hand washing, and social distancing in stopping COVID-19 infections.
The Tippecanoe County Health Department and other local officials will provide updates about possible county COVID-19 restrictions at a press briefing this afternoon, as local cases continue to rise.
