Purdue Program Helps Student Veterans

A Purdue-based organization is giving money to student service members and veterans across the state to pursue a college degree.

The Military Family Research Institute is giving $7,000 to programs at four higher education institutions.

The grants which are funded by Purdue’s Operation Diploma are intended to help service members transition to campus life.

Since 2008, the initiative has given nearly $2.5-million to higher education institutions and student veterans’ organizations.

The schools receiving money are Purdue, Indiana University Southeast, Indiana State, and Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington.
