WLCSC Preparing for Elementary Projects

Plans are coming together for a pair of projects in the West Lafayette Community School Corporation.

The district is preparing to build a 2,100 square foot addition at Cumberland and remodel parts of Happy Hollow elementary schools.

Happy Hollow Principal Margaret Psarros says the project at her school will help heighten safety and make the building more efficient for students, staff, and parents.

The two projects will be sent out for bids as one project.

School officials believe the work will cost about $1-million, paid for through bonds.

The district board expects to vote on final design plans next month and construction may start as soon as April.
