Democrats choose Nelson over Moore in 4th Congressional District

Democrat Tara Nelson will be the party’s nominee in the 4th Congressional District.

She won 58% of the vote over Lester Moore in Tuesday’s Primary.

Nelson thinks the General Election race against incumbent Republican Todd Rokita will be tough. However, she feels prepared to take her message to voters.

"They want to see tax incentives that make sense for corporations to hire and retain American employees, instead of outsourcing jobs overseas. They want to make sure Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare are protected. They're concerned with the budget plan Todd Rokita is working on."

Nelson ran for the Democratic nomination two years ago in the 4th District, but was unsuccessful in the Primary.
