The Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department is welcoming three new deputies.
Tim Rooze, Austin Waibel , and Jodi Rohler were sworn in Thursday.
Sheriff Tracy Brown says it’s rare to have that many join the department at once, but he thinks each brings a unique perspective from their previous careers.
There are now 46 deputies on staff with one position still open.
Also Thursday, the Department honored Brown for his 25 years of service.
He took over as Sheriff in 2007 and has three years remaining in his current term.
