Final plans for Crosswalk Commons approved

Tippecanoe County Commissioners have given final approval for a new apartment building near the Purdue campus.

The property on Hilltop Road is surrounded by land owned by the university or its Research Foundation.

The other structures in the area include Purdue fraternity, sorority, and cooperative houses.

The 40-thousand square-foot, three-floor building, known as Crosswalk Commons, will provide housing for 120 students.

It will serve as a campus ministry outreach of the Salt & Light Christian Fellowship.

The purpose is for U-S students to live with international students and help them adjust to life in the country and on campus.
