Organizers of Hunger Hike 2013 have surpassed their fundraising goal.
The donation period was extended to December 1st after the event fell 30-thousand dollars short.
Lafayette Urban Ministry Director Joe Micon announced this morning that $92,685 has been brought in to benefit LUM, Food Finders Food Bank, and the St. Thomas Aquinas Haiti ministry.
The original goal was $90,000.
Micon says planning has already started for Hunger Hike 2014.
The goal next year will be to raise $93,000.
