IN State Police towing abandoned vehicles before snow storm

In preparation for the winter weather, the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post will begin towing any abandoned vehicles that could impede the snow removal process.

As the snowfall begins Sunday morning any vehicle found along major roadways (including exit ramps) that may impede the snow removal process or be a potential traffic hazard will be towed at the owner's expense.

The eight counties the Lafayette District serves are Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White.

If your vehicle has been abandoned in one of these counties and towed, you can contact the Lafayette District at (765) 567-2125 or (800) 382-7537.
