The state’s largest hospital and physician network has reached a contract agreement with the state’s second-largest health insurance provider.
Indiana University Health and UnitedHealthcare had been negotiating terms since before the previous contract expired on December 31st.
IU Health has been granting UnitedHealthcare patients a special ‘in-network’ status while working toward a resolution.
The new agreement confirms that IU Health physicians and facilities are again in-network providers for UnitedHealthcare insurance plans.
All services provided by IU Health as of January 1st will be billed as in-network.
