Purdue University announced Wednesday all events on the West Lafayette campus would be cancelled through June 30.
In an earlier statement, Purdue Provost Jay Akridge said a decision on June events would be reached by April 15; a decision about July events will be made by May 15. Courses with a May or June start date will be conducted remotely.
The school’s announcement defined events as “camps, conferences, public events and meetings, nonessential business and social gatherings, and sporting events”, but said other gatherings could be included.
The Tippecanoe County Health Department Tuesday officially released an order from health officer Dr. Jeremy Adler, calling for the cancellation or postponement of county events through June 30.
