Bach Chorale Singers 2/21 Concert Preview

http://lafayettemasterchorale.org/

The Bach Chorale Singers perform this Sunday afternoon, February 21st, at St. John’s Episcopal Church. On the program are two early cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach: Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen (Weeping, lamenting, worrying, fearing), BWV 12; and Christ lag in Todes Banden (Christ lay in death's bonds), BWV 4. Artistic Director and Conductor Michelle Louer says the program represents sorrow and joy, and especially their season theme “Music and the human spirit: Making the world a better place, one note at a time.” WBAA’s John Clare spoke to Louer about “From Sorrow to Joy: Bach in Mühlhausen” in the WBAA studios.
