Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton is focusing a lot these days on fostering cooperation.
He’s hosted the first of what he hopes will be a series of meetings with business leaders, he’s brought together multiple parties to complete a long-stalled road project and he’s working with the state on Stellar Communities projects.
And he’s also trying to mediate a dispute over installation of wind turbines in the northern part of the county.
On this week’s Ask The Mayor, we chat with the self-appointed mediator-in-chief about what’s gone wrong and what he’s learned from some of the setbacks.
And we also attempt to ascertain why some public meetings seem to be so few and far between.
