Alcoa is expanding its footprint in Lafayette

Alcoa  is locating its new full-production aluminum lithium casting facility here.

The $90 million investment will bring 75 new jobs. The new facility will be adjacent to Alcoa’s existing plant at U.S. 52 and Main Street.

The city and Tippecanoe County government will provide training funds for the new employees. Alcoa already employs more than 700 workers.

The company’s long history with the Lafayette area began in 1937.
