Daniel Tiger is coming to the West Lafayette Public Library on Sunday, April 26 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.! Families and children will enjoy meeting Daniel Tiger, writing letters to community helpers and neighbors, creating art, contributing to a group kindness chain and more. Each child will receive an activity bag including their own book!

Lafayette Fun Squares (LFS) is a local square dance club. We do mainstream and plus dancing, line dancing and round dancing. We meet the first Friday monthly except June, July, and August. Lessons will begin in September. You do not need a partner for dances or lessons; we will pair you up with a teacher.

Original art and graphic design posters from 1981 to the present showcase 45 years of human rights work by the Greater Lafayette Holocaust Remembrance Committee. The mission of this community organization is to educate and inspire individuals to understand the past, its legacies, and its implications for the present. Opening reception: April 3, 2026 at 6:00 PM.

Join us for our first open house for 2026 at the West Lafayette Observatory, 600 Cumberland, West Lafayette, IN! The open meeting portion includes astronomy news, new toys, and a presentation, "Astronomy Superstitions, Scams and Pseudoscience Chapter 2". After a short break, at the open house we'll have the dome open and some additional telescopes set up outside (weather permitting) along with a brief presentation, "The Season of Galaxies". You don't have to be a member to attend, but we encourage you to consider joining if you haven't already to help support our year-round outreach activities bringing the wonders of astronomy to students and the general public.
