Tippecanoe County’s COVID-19 case count rose by eight Thursday, bringing the county’s confirmed total to 110. Hoosier deaths from the novel coronavirus hit 1,007 in the Indiana State Department of Health’s daily report.
ISDH also reported 669 new COVID-19 cases statewide, for a total of 17,835.
In Cass County, where a novel coronavirus outbreak could impact Tippecanoe County, 1,164 COVID-19 cases were reported. Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb said Wednesday he supported President Trump’s executive order to re-open meat processing plants; Tyson Foods in Logansport closed down last week after workers began testing positive for COVID-19.
Gov. Holcomb’s current stay-at-home order ends tomorrow, May 1.
