A new position within the West Lafayette School Corporation will be responsible for fundraising and community relations.
The district's board Wednesday night voted to establish a Director of Development. The position will be a part of the West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation.
The school corporation will cover 30% of the salary as well as benefits. Superintendent Rocky Killion says that's because projects initiated by the foundation benefit the corporation as well.
The school board has yet to identify any candidates for the position.
