Road and construction projects along Northwestern Avenue in West Lafayette are expected to cause traffic delays over the next few months.
Mayor John Dennis says work along the road this construction season includes improvements from Lindberg Road to the Yeager Road roundabout, repaving by the state Department of Transportation, and construction of Wang Hall, 720 Northwestern, and the Faith Community Center.
He says the bulk of the work will be done when Purdue is in summer session.
Dennis says suggested alternate routes include Happy Hollow Road, Salisbury Street, and Klondike Road.
He says those who have to travel on Northwestern should be on the lookout for pedestrians and construction crews.
