Restoring power in Tippecanoe County will likely take most of today and could extend into tomorrow.
More than 12,000 Duke Energy customers in the county are still without service.
Company spokesperson Lew Middleton says between downed trees and snapped utility poles, crews have their work cut out for them.
In addition to Tippecanoe, some of the hardest hit counties are Howard, Cass and Clinton.
