The mayor of Lafayette has declared a snow emergency in anticipation of up to ten inches of snow by late this evening.
Tony Roswarski made the announcement at ten o’clock this morning.
Vehicles that are not removed from marked Snow Emergency routes by ten o’clock this evening could be ticketed or towed.
The mayor is asking residents and businesses to move vehicles off all streets throughout the city as much as possible to assist in snow removal.
