County library reports lower circulation, higher computer usage

Technology continues to be a big draw in getting people into the Tippecanoe County Public Library.

Data from last year shows roughly 10,000 more people used the free internet access at the library’s branches compared to 2012.

County Librarian Jos Holman says his staff is always trying to accommodate residents and spent roughly $93,000 on improving electronic databases.

He says another recent feature the library added is an online calendar, which allows people to sign up for different activities.

The library board reviewed the 2013 data that will be part of the State Library’s annual statistics report.
