Ask The Mayor: Lafayette's Tony Roswarski Watching And Waiting On Needle Exchange

WBAA News

Despite months of objections from Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski, Tippecanoe County gets its needle exchange this week – at a fixed location in a neighborhood that Roswarski said he wanted specifically to avoid.

This week on WBAA's Ask The Mayor, we pose this question to the mayor: did all that opposition force the county’s hand into deciding to use the health department’s site as the home of the controversial program?

Also on this week’s program, we begin to preview next year’s Fourth District congressional race. It had been obvious for weeks that Todd Rokita was going to run for the Senate next year, which will leave open his seat in the U.S. House.

We ask Lafayette’s Democratic mayor if there’s an up-and-coming member of his party whom he thinks might be able to switch the seat from red to blue next year.
