The November ballot is set for the local school board races.
And, several current members won’t be back next year.
Tippecanoe School Corporation board members Alan Kemper, Kathy Dale, and Dann Parker are keeping their names off the ballot.
Dusti Chase and Brian DeFreese are hoping to replace Dale. Steven Chidalek is the only person to file for Parker’s seat. No one filed for the seat held by Kemper, which means the board will appoint someone in January.
Jim Slaven filed to represent TSC's Fourth District for another term. To do so, he will have to fend off challengers Shane Allen and Brian Beeler in November.
In Lafayette School Corporation, the three members up for reelection all filed without opposition. They are David Moulton, Brian Wagner, and Kay Walton.
Kathy Anderson is not running again in West Lafayette. Dianne Sautter, Brad Marley, and Brian Bittner will be reelected. The fourth at-large seat will go to Purdue Associate Athletics Director Tom Schott.
Gabriel Widmer is the only person to file for Benton County School’s District C seat which represents part of Tippecanoe County. Kathleen Cox did not file for reelection.
