Donation will help TSC replace technology

The Tippecanoe School Corporation is getting some help to replace technology that was lost or damaged when a tornado hit two school buildings.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America is donating ten-thousand dollars to the relief effort.

The storm last November damaged Southwestern Middle and Mintonye Elementary schools.

Until the buildings are repaired, kindergarten through sixth grade is being housed at First Assembly Community Ministries and seventh and eighth graders have relocated to a wing at Wea Ridge Middle School.

TSC officials say the donation will help improve the student-to-computer ratio among the sixth grade students at First Assembly Community Ministries.

The money will also be used to purchase a fourth mobile computer cart equipped with 16 new laptops.
