Artists’ Own High School Art Show

The 17th annual Artists’ Own High School Art Show (AOHSAS) will highlight the talents of emerging artists from area high schools. Dozens of students have submitted their best work and will attend an awards presentation and reception at the Artists’ Own Gallery on Sunday, Jan, 18, at 2 p.m.
Parents, teachers and community art supporters are invited to view the paintings, sculptures, drawings, and photographs of these exceptionally talented high school artists. This show will be on display at the Artists’ Own Gallery, 518 Main Street in downtown Lafayette through Saturday, Feb. 14.

Join us for an exploration of the abstract expressionist painter Alice Baber. Discover her extensive works from our Permanent Collection on display in the Weil Gallery and be inspired as renowned speakers Danielle Johnson, Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University, and Gail Levin, art historian, novelist, and Distinguished Professor at CUNY, delve into Baber's life and her enduring impact on the art world.
