Professor BrendaSarmiento from Purdue University and her fellow students will be doing a bilingual storytime at the Holman Branch Library. There will be stories, activities, and a craft that help kids and parents make connections to the different languages.

Nine Irish Brothers hosts traditional Irish music sessions every Wednesday evening. Sessions are an opportunity for local musicians to join together for fellowship and to play traditional Irish music, and for listeners to enjoy. To make a reservation, call Nine Irish Brothers at (765) 746-4782.

The Wabash Valley Youth Symphony will present its upcoming concert on Saturday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Lafayette. This free event will feature a program of diverse and engaging works, including Aladdin Suite by Carl Nielsen, Our Town by Aaron Copland, and Symphony No. 8 (Unfinished) – I by Franz Schubert. The Wabash Valley Youth Symphony is made up of talented young musicians from across the region who have dedicated countless hours to preparing for this performance. Their concert offers the community an opportunity not only to experience an evening of exceptional live music, but also to celebrate the hard work, passion, and artistry of these students. All are invited to attend, enjoy the performance, and support the next generation of musicians.
