Nine Irish Brothers Traditional Irish Pub hosts a community trad session Wednesday evenings at seven pm. Trad sessions--short for traditional Irish sessions, are a community-led participatory event in which local musicians bring their instruments and play traditional Irish music. Musicians who play Irish instruments or who are striving to learn are welcome to join in, and all members of the community are welcome to enjoy the music and ambiance.

The Claudettes return to People's Brewing Company in Lafayette, IN Tuesday November 10th. This is the show that was rescheduled from August 4th. If you have a ticket for the August 4th show it will be honored for the new date.

Six albums into their lauded career, the Claudettes continue to put a fascinating spin on American roots music. Blues and R&B are laced with punk spirit and film-noir moods to create the band's singular "garage cabaret" sound. The Claudettes have earned worldwide acclaim with their recordings and concerts full of heart, musicianship and theatrical flair. Force-of-nature vocalist Rachel Williams (who dominates the stage like a glam-rock rebirth of Annie Lennox) and renowned pianist/songwriter Johnny Iguana join the mighty rhythm section of Zach Verdoorn (bass, guitar, vocals) and Michael Caskey (drums). Outside the Claudettes, Iguana has toured with Junior Wells and Otis Rush, played on many Grammy-nominated albums and recorded with Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Johnny Winter and more. Johnny is also composer of the score for the Emmy-winning smash FX/Hulu series "The Bear" and has released two solo albums on iconic blues/jazz label Delmark Records.

Join us for an evening unlike any other as the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra and Art Museum of Greater Lafayette partner for an immersive storytelling event. Wander through the works of exhibiting artists Mary Pat Wallen and Caleb Weintraub as LSO musicians perform a multi-genre chamber program.

Admission is free thanks to the sponsorship of Duke Energy and Purdue Federal Credit Union, with support from the Cellar Wine Bistro.

WHO: All are welcome! No experience or partner needed.
WHAT: Learn dances led by a caller, dancing to live music with a group of people!
WHERE: 333 Meridian Street in West Lafayette - enter through the playground gate
WHEN: Second Saturday of the month at 5:30PM for beginner lesson, dance from 6-8PM
WHY: It's good for your mental health--let's build community!
HOW: Dances are made possible through sponsorship from Indiana Fiddlers Gathering and participants who give what they can ($5-20) to support our caller and band.

What is Contra Dance?
Contra dance is a form of folk dancing made up of long lines of couples. A caller leads the dance, teaching the steps and calling out moves. It's great fun for all ages.
Unlike some other social dances, contra is a group activity. Over the course of each dance, you interact with everyone in your contra line. Your partner is like a teammate, moving with you up and down the line.

The Lafayette Dulcimer Gathering will play at Cumberland Park every Tuesday evening from 7pm to 8:30pm in June, July and August
All acoustic instrument musicians are welcome to join the jam and play along or, just bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music! Song sheets will be available.

Belfast native Ian Gould is many things: Multi-instrumentationalist, singer, and wit. With a wide repertoire of classics and lesser-known Irish music, Ian makes for an easy night of laid-back fun.
