ACORN Players would like to announce our 2026 youth summer camp, Stepsisters, directed by Beth Simpson!
Everybody knows the Brothers Grimm's most famous fairy tale. But what if they told it from the wrong point of view? "Stepsisters" tells the totally-true-not-at-all-made-up version of the little cinder girl. When Drew and Beth are thrown into the dungeon for conspiring against the throne, these stepsisters, who are not wicked, evil, and certainly not ugly, are forced to tell their fellow prisoners the real story of what happened with Cinderella.
Registration is due by May 18th and is open to middle school and high school students including 2026 graduates. All students are guaranteed a role but must audition for their role. Auditions will be held from 6-8pm on May 19 OR 20 and if needed, callback auditions will be held on May 21. The fee includes a 21 day camp: June 1-27, M-F (plus one Saturday), 12 noon to 5pm (hours extended on performance days).
We believe this should be accessible. If affordability is a concern, please contact us to explore available assistance at acornplayerslaf@gmail.com

Hans CondorHans Condor are pure rock’n’roll madness with a little bit of a Southern/stoner rock edge to it.... a less doomy SWORD mixed with MOLLY HATCHET, AC/DC, and a dash of latter-era BUSINESS.....Soaring harmonic guitars and sweeping bass-walks......The kind of album I’d throw on during a super hot day while I grill out, drink beer, and take a dip in my inflatable pool.....It's the perfect vibe for Punk Vs Metal BBQ!!!
